15 minute daily LinkedIn routine to grow š
I recently started using a new tool to grow on LinkedIn. Taplio.
It was recommended by all the top creators - and itās amazing!
I just need to become more consistent with using it. But thatās by no means Taplioās fault. In fact, theyāve done a lot to build my confidence and get me posting.
One thing Iāve really loved is their email series to help me grow on LinkedIn.
Last week they sent me one that really hit home, and I thought Iād share to help anyone in the same situation as me - feeling overwhelmed with LinkedIn.
The email broke down a 15 minute daily routine you can use to grow on LinkedIn - simplifying and reducing my feeling of being overwhelmed and hopefully yours too!
Hereās my summary of it:
You donāt need to spend hours a day to grow on LinkedIn - thatās a myth.
Rather, the way to success on LinkedIn is by setting up a daily routine with specific actions and goals.
1. Engage with people you know - 5 minutes š
Growing is not just about your own posts.
Itās also super important to engage with other peopleās content. You get noticed by them and their audience.
This leads to people checking your profile and your content.
Doing this also builds stronger relationships with people, which can lead to unexpected and awesome opportunities as well as a network of true fans who want to support you.
š¬ Actions:
Identify 10-20 people whose content you like and who appeal to your target audience.
Comment meaningful replies to their posts on a daily basis.
Taplio has a really cool feature called āPeople I likeā where you can select these accounts and comment directly from Taplio - as I said, awesome tool.
2. Engage with people you donāt know - 5 minutes š£ļø
Widening your network is also key.
So do the exact same as above, but with people you donāt know.
And by know, I mean know of them on LinkedIn - i.e., do this with people you havenāt heard about.
š¬ Actions:
Each week, identify 10-20 people who appeal to your target audience - Taplio has a cool search feature to filter by keywords, where you can find potential users.
Comment meaningful replies to their posts on a daily basis.
Consider adjusting your āPeople I likeā list as you identify more and more creators.
3a. Post (Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun) - 5-10 minutes šØ
The above two steps drive people to your content.
Now you actually need to have content to show them.
And I promise you, in just 5-10 minutes you can create a well-written, valuable post - I didnāt used to believe this.
But Justin Welsh has an awesome course on LinkedIn growth and it completely changed my mind.
š¬ Actions:
Create a bank of ideas - somewhere quick and easy to access like your notes app.
Write about one of them.
3b. DM 5 new people (Tue-Thu-Sat) - 5-10 minutes š§
Itās probably better to post every day - but to get into it, you can start with four times per week.
This gives you an alternative option to try out before diving into posting every day.
Personal conversations build the best relationships on LinkedIn - and you never know what will come out of it.
š¬ Actions:
Identify 5 people whose content you like and who you think could be interesting to talk to.
Send them a genuine, personal DM.
See where it goes from there.
Repeat this for a few weeks, and hopefully, youāll be amazed at the results - I myself will be trying this - so letās see! š
